My name is Mia Gerlach the handsome man pictured next to me is my husband, Matt — we went to the chapel in 2023 and live near-ish the water in Dallas, TX with our cats, George and Grumpy.

It’s important for you to know that I love my job and it’s because I’m a sentimentalist. Precious things are only precious because they can’t last forever (nothing does!) & I believe a photograph allows you to partake in the joy of now for the rest of your life. So when it comes to your wedding day, I like to think I’m serving not only who the two of you are now, but all the future versions of you to come: you on your very first anniversary, you sat with your children going through your wedding album for the thirtieth time and finally, you at 95 years old when all you want to do is remember your husband’s face.

Over the years, I’ve documented some of the most deeply personal moments for my clients. Being invited to celebrate with you and your chosen few is easily the sweetest part of my job and I’ll forever understand the honor it is to be present on your most sacred days.

It’s in reverence of my king, Jesus Christ, that I’m excited to serve you! I believe this work is a gift and privilege, and is therefore an offering I make to God.
